RULES OF THE COMPETITION

 

  1. The competition is played on a green in the District of the Vice President of the current year.

 

  1. One rink of under 14’s will play for each District. (4 players per District). No reserves allowed.

 

  1. Depending on the number of Districts entering the competition, (usually there is between 8-12) in the Round Robin stages, it will be decided on the day the number of ends being played .

 

  1. Depending upon the number of sections:

 

2 sections – straight final

3 sections – section winners and highest runner up, to a semi and then final

4 sections – section winners to semi and then final

 

  1. All players to be identified prior to the start with name, club and date of birth.

 

  1. All players must be under 14 on 1 April in the current year.

 

  1. The District with the highest number of shots in each game will be awarded 2 points. In the event of a draw 1 point will be awarded to each District.

 

    1. Should two or more District finish with equal points the aggregate shots up will be used to determine the winners. (Aggregate shots up being the total shots won in all matches minus the total shots lost in all matches).

 

    1. In the event of two District finishing equal on points and aggregate shots up the result of the match between both Districts will be used to determine the winner

 

    1. Should more than two Districts finish equal on points and aggregate shots up the number of winning rinks, then the number of ends won in all matches will be used to determine the winners.

 

  1. Dress code will be as follows:

 

YOUNG LADIES; GREY OR BLACK SKIRT OR TROUSERS , WHITE BLOUSE / WHITE TOP , WHITE SOCKS ADMISSIBLE, PROPER BOWLING SHOES,

YOUNG GENTS; GREY OR BLACK TROUSERS , WHITE SHIRT , PROPER BOWLING SHOES , CLUB TIE OPTIONAL

 

DISTRICT: COLOURS MAY ALSO BE WORN

 

IF THE RINK HAPPENS TO BE FROM THE SAME CLUB, THEN THAT CLUB’S COLOURS MAY BE WORNS
